I am using a community website using XOOPS as portal.

Is there a module where users can upload their photos into their profile page?

Something like friendster.com , If you guys know about it.

Would be nice if members could have their own profile page with personnnal gallery~

Give me some feeedback~~~~~~~

Perhaps you can base it on how users are currently able to upload an avatar. That avatar is displayed on the current profile page.

So, it sounds like you would be making a similar page, but, with the photo instead of the avatar. (or, perhaps you can just let them upload their photo as their avatar...)

hmm sounds good..

but i want the user to be able to upload 5 photos with limited kb size.

also user may set it as primary avatar which will be seen as the normal avatar. The rest of the photos or images will be like their own gallery.

Should this be hack on XOOPS core or a module?
which will be more flexible?

Maybe the friend finder module would be worth a look. Users can create a profile, upload picture (pictures?), and search for each other via criteria.

Sunsnapper is right; friendfinder is a good basis for this type of application. The easiest option to get it right is to edit the language files to suit your own needs. Along with that the templates are quite flexible for change. The new version allows you to define and search for specific "profiles"

Actually i am not looking for any modules as advanced as that. That module, the users still need to reenter all the particular details.

I was expecting a addon to the XOOPS member's profile page where they can have tiny gallery of 5 images.

Not dating or anything, I was thinking of making XOOPS to as a portal to host a pet site. where members can register and show off their pets with images.

Click on the member and can see their gallery with images of their pets. That kind of module.

Checkout his program
Click on some sample sites to see it

If you use the IBF module it overwrites the XOOPS private messaging system as well as the user profiles - and in the new user profiles, users can upload a picture. See it working on my site here. That will only let users upload one image (2 including avatar) to their profiles tho.

It seems to me that if you were perhaps using the MyAlbum module, you could use the "Recent Activity" for this, somehow change the variables for the myalbum output so it displays 5 thumbnail images instead of 5 links to images, as you see under 'Photos' in the recent activity in my profile there. I'll look into it when I get a chance, tho I'm sure you'll have it solved by then ;)
