I have a very cool site that is working fine.
After visiting the Xoops.org index page I saw that there is a newer version.

How can I upgrade without problems?

My fears:
- Db
- Theme

Thanks in advance.

extract files to your webserver, overwriting the existing ones.

It's as simple as that

If you upload the PATCH and not the complete 2.0.5.1 package, then no, you're ok. There are no database changes in 2.0.5 -> 2.0.5.1, nor are the theme files affected, so there's nothing to worry about there.

Yes.... easy as fingers in the nose
just some new files to overwrite directly. that's all.

Well the biggest bug has not been fixed.
There just _has_ to be an INSTALL file. It's also missing in other patches, I suppose it's considered normal _here_.

If our beloved developers say "well it's so simple" how hard can it be to write those 2 lines and add those in a file?

I'll write them here, then:

Extract the files in the patch package.

Upload the files from the html (with subfolders) to the XOOPS root path on the server, preserving folder structure.

Will you ad these lines to the wokko/wakka/wiki or whatever Mithy?
