Error 500 internal error help pls

i host with powweb
pls read this.

most of my modules and even admin section returns with this error and this is all i can get from the host. i think i have check permission and still the same thing.
any ideas? this is really driving me nut

First advice: switch hosts... they seem like an incometent lot...

Second advice: read the full thread (I did), especially the last post. This error you're getting is in no way XOOPS related, but has to do with the server config. You'll have to contact support again.

no problem... if you dont have a shell account, try "FlashFXP" to change all php files to CHMOD 755 (in the same time, recursive)...

If your host is convinced it is XOOPS and not them, put up any php file. I suspect you will get the same error, thus indicating it is not a XOOPS issue.

Hi, Sunsnaper! This is because the PHP file has wrong permissions. You probably set 755 to the folder where the PHP files are located, but you did not set 755 to the files. You must select all PHP files and change their permissions, not the folders.

PHP files are giving this error ONLY when permissions are wrong.
