1)
Try to download the new version, uninstall the old one.
http://xoops.ws/uploads/modules/chat/chat_2.1_Beta.zip
In the Internet browser press "CTRL + F5" to remove the cache.

2)
Run this code.

What is the answer?

1° The answer is: OK

2° jquery exists

3° xoops 2.5.1a

4° PHP = 5.3.0

@ andrey & Mamba: Thanks its working now. Although very slow, it seems to be loading for a very long time but the message will normally show if I click refresh. Any reason for this or solution?

Otherwise Its clean and simple. Any plans to add rooms, invitations to rooms? Or am I asking too much? Otherwise how simple would it be to duplicate this module 6 or 7 times on one site, so that I could give 6 or 7 different user groups access to different chats (acting as rooms)?

If messages are not downloaded without having to reboot to remove all files from the cache.

xoops_data/caches/xoops_cache/

Check the write permissions to that folder.

Xim has been fixed. I noticed heartbeat was broken in chat.js especially in IE causing it to eighter crash the browser view or break ajax/jquery - And a double class declare in admin section has been fixed also

EDIT: rename foldername 1.02 to xim

Thanks. I've been waiting on a fix for this thing..
It confused me a bit before as it worked perfectly for admin users, but regular registered users were getting crashes..

I'll be plugging it in again this weekend. I'll let ya know how it goes.

It's a great addition to XOOPS when it's working..

*btw I was referring to the XIM module*
