this is the correct link but you will be forwarded twice somewhere else but last not least there it is if someone wants to get it.

But I read some comments that this is out of the current line I believe some guy wishcraft commented on it, that this is going into the wrong direction

Anyway I prefer to get the running version on xoops.org

I have installed the news module 1.56 on 2.0.16 now unfortunately I have the number "0" in the username field

anybody heard of such an instance or bug.

Did backup my database and uploaded the old data.

News are all fine but this 0 in the user field at the Login.

Very strange

And where do you see this 0? Is it in the login block? (Screenshot, URL)?

user.php, do not use login block.

currently it is only in FF, Google Chrome, but not in Opera and IE,

Don't worry in the moment I will clean the cache and then lets see, again.

But please kindly get back to the modules issue.

Ok, then please give me the download links and versions of following modules on xoops.org site which is using the current version 2.4.4 , correct

I would say it does not matter which site I am building or trying to improve but want just things which will work.

And the ones following are working and running on xoops.org
(P.S. some or them I do of course not need like the repository)


1) News
2) Wf channel
3) Forum I believe it should be newbb
4) smartfaq
5) extgallery
6) xoopspartners.

As you said with the rest I might need I will have to play with but first I want to make things sure.

I do not think this is so difficult to understand.


Once again I believe this is in the interest of all current xoops users, members an the future compatriots.

Ling,

We're using pretty much the standard modules:

1) News 1.66
2) Wf channel 2.05
3) Forum I believe it should be newbb: CBB 3.08
4) smartfaq 1.08
5) extgallery 1.07 (but it's not a standard version - it has several hacks)
6) xoopspartners 1.1

You have cold water fear. At a certain moment you have to dive or plunge.
Computers are very complex. There is no hassle free guarantee. It's like swimming and driving, anything can happen under the way.
If one thing has to be sure, that is having a good backup for files and database.

Yes, that happens sometimes in Firefox with Xoops 2.0.16 and 2.0.18. Not sure why, but if you re-start Firefox the field will clear. It shouldn't affect anyone logging in.

Hi Ling,

i can´t understand why are you looking solutions over old versions of Xoops&modules existing very new & comfortable versions, better like olders !

Update your sistems (not hard work), get all benefits inside it & forget to found any compatibility. Maybe you webser are working under PHP5 & many of you really old modules can´t work it. Don't loose your time, do the right, go ahead!
