Hi,

use a module called Liaise or xForms. There are modules to create forms, but not register forms.

Suggestions with example:

If you want to have a registered users group & premium users group.

1)
Create two groups
Use permissions
Let the people register on your site
Change to group manually

2)
Use Liaise or xForms
Disable register
Create two formularies with those features you´ll need it.
Register yourself

Other way, use profile module & define fields you´ll need it.

Clone... maybe. A first page with selection (type of user) & go to selected... Maybe you´ll need to create new templates, code little mod & that´s all!!

you must to edit the templates of Liaise module. Sorry, no another way over Xoops.

nothing shows up will be because they haven't any kind of content to show it.

E.G.

If you want to show a notice in a block, you must to have a module for it installed, if you use News, it will create a first example post.

Right now, go to blocks, select anyone or all to show for EVERYBODY (admins/registered users/anonymous)

You must to see those blocks you marked before.

If not, go to groups & check permissions.

Really, i think you must to learn the way to work with this structure, understanding the differences between blocks&modules, the right way to do this.

you know enough to be a newbbie. Too clearly with your words.

XOOPS have more than you asked before. Simply to start as Ghia wrote: "Out of the box, you can make a custom block and put there text and images in". It includes an advanced editor, image manager and a lot of features.

To be a newbbie, i see your site really customized... & looks nice.

I suggest you to use News. Very powerful, easy to understand & use, not too much to learn, around 10 minutes... & don't be in panic. If you've installed x-forum & understand it, you will do with News.

Permissions, groups & other features later. First solve you'll need & after, try it.

Try in our site, HispaXoops | Xoops España, we have it & i´m really satisfied with this solution (not at 100%, but 90% at least).

With many features, HispaXoops | Xoops España make the difference if you need professional services over Xoops & others PHP based.

Actually, we're developing a SEO&SEF (because both must come together) real solution for Xoops. We're around 90% of it, we hope to finally at the end of the year.

With this solution (maybe a module, maybe a hack, not sure yet), you could have a Xoops Site without /modules/.../.../file.php, a real rewrite using your xoops, working with any version.

Why we did stopped or silenced? Many personal reasons which will be at past. Now, we start a new way & we hope it will be the right way.

Of course, we use spanish as a language because this is our mother tongue
