Sure the more smooth running the footer looks the better, I'll leave this for someone as he has been doing almost all work on the footer itself and I only made this one change with the language define you mentioned earlier.

At the moment we're just consentrating to get the module running without any bugs, and only making small adjustments like this with the footer.

After the 1.0 we'll again begin to add more features.

Sounds good. The reason for me wanting both this and the logout icon is that it would make it possible for the footer bar to completely replace the user menu block.

Hello to you all,
I am currently testing this great module, thank you to the author.
I followed all instructions to install and it works fine in Firefox and IE.
For cons, I do not know if this is due to Frameworks, and got a blank page if I created a new topic in AMS NewBB 3.08.

I emptied all caches and write the name in xim settings protector, but still the same, again, the debug does not help me find the flaw.

Cultex you are going to hate me, I have had this since well before the start of this post a chat module like the facebook chat for xoops 2.3

It would work better in XOOPS 2.4 as you have CSS Adding possibilities -- I asked and when i went to check the forum post for it was solved.

But anyway if anyone wants to work on (Hopefully you cultex) this chat module please do. I will put it on the SVN..

THis module I wrote with urban spaceman, who no longer uses xoops cause the infighting in Italy's XOOPS Support and general in fighting got to him and now deploy joomla.. Sad story on top of that his archives of module he would have been more than happy to give me where stolen and this is the only remaining one:

Chat module dosnt works on 2.4.4 installation went fine but when i try to go homepage of the chat page i get a blank page

The wishcraft chat is based on the same jquery core as the xim but also I cannot make this go in 2.4.4,

I'll look into this later but for now someone and I will continue testing and adding features on xim.

Cleaned cache, uninstalled and re-installed & replaced directory using lower case letters in directory name. Searched for stray tables in database. Found none.

The module manager doesn't even see the module/directory unless I rename it to upper case letters (xim vs. XIM)

I'm stumped. Guess I'll wait on the release version for a fresh start.
The more I know, the more I know that I really didn't wanna know.

@Dante. Also I am without a clue, I have spread the question around a little hoping someone more skilled than me can have a good explanation.

@ eparcyl92 I'll look into this. I had myself some problems with the submit.php page in news module, but for some reason this problem went away without discoverying exactely why. But i'll install newbb and give it a look.

@Dante7237 I just had a chat with Ghia, and this - I think - confirmed my suspision. Try in xim/xoopsmodule.php to change the

$modversion['name'] = _MI_XIM_MODULE_NAME;


to
$modversion['name'] = "xim";


I tested in my own site and seems to work, but I would like to know if you see any difference, as my site was already working with the lang. def. before also
