Ciao, hello from Italy, I'm testing mx-directory module in my new portal, under construction, with XOOPS 2.4.4.
Mx-directory version 3.01 (Tripmon, Zyspec & Mithy modification of xDirectory) works fine after some code modifications for errors in uploading logo image, but I have an error after clicking submit buttons "email" and "tell a friends" in page contact.php. Clicking shows page with "Error number %s, please contact site administrator" and message not sent.
Why this? Help me, please! Thanks to all.

Try uncommenting the debug message in ./contact.php - around line 253. Change
//     echo $xoopsMailer->getErrors();

to:
echo $xoopsMailer->getErrors();


and report back on what it says. The mx-directory module attempts to use Xoopsmailer which will be 'superceded' by XoopsMultiMailer although it should still be working...

Thanks, Zyspec, for your suggest. I have modified line 253 in contact.php but email sending gives same error again. This in testing with XOOPS 2.18.2 too, not only XOOPS 2.4.4.
Other suggestions, please?

Uncommenting this line should have let the module output a 'specific' error message... Can you tell us exactly what it says when it fails?

I am using this module too, unfortunatly it's full of bugs. I dont know if there is any other similar module in xoops. I had an idea to clone TDMDownlaods and make some changes (remove the browse button to upload a program and make changes in the language folder) to transform it into a directory module.

Hello Zyspec, I deleted "//" in debug message contact.php but message is same, test yourself here in my under construction website:
http://www.valletelesinaedintorni.it/modules/mxdirectory/viewcat.php?cid=1

If I use contact.php file xdirectory's module, works fine and mail sent to business directory, but there isn't captcha function and "tell a friend" no possible. I prefer form contact with captcha but how resolve? Thanks.

Hello Mariane, can you say me some bugs in mx-directory's module? I'm testing in XOOPS 2.4.4 and works fine again except for form mail sending to business directory and "tell a friend".
TDMDownlaods hasn't map and email buttons.
I search module or free script for business directory.
Have you any ideas? Thanks.

Alan2006,

I haven't really used/edited this module in a while but I looked back at the file that I've been using (and that I intended to use in the 'next' release) and I've made several changes. I think I may see what's causing the problem you're experiencing. PM me with your email so I can send you a newer version of the contact.php file to see if it fixes your problem.
