umm it will be a rather awkward situation for me to keep posting a series of "and now?" and "and now?" posts so i will really appreciate anyone with same specks as you (if not you :) ) will contact me on msn (visible on profile) so we can have this sorted out sooner rather then later :)

Did someone thinker with the login bar?
I don't see only a grey field after the search (FF 3.6). There is only 2 pixels to see of the icons (like a little bit hair of the user).
It restores when deleting the float:right; for div.login_links div.the_links

In principle, it has the same rendering engine of FF.

but FF has always shown the login for me...

I noticed that login was missing when I arrived, but it seems fixed now. Are 'adjustments' on-going?
