Ok here is what i did.....call me a noob i guess. I found the theme i wanted to install. I uploaded it and its there and fine now. I deleted the other themes,but the new theme removed the top login window. I had removed the side login block the other day in setting up. Now I cannot log into my account to admin xoops.....any suggestions?

This same thing happened to me.

How do I get the 'login' block back so it displays on the page?

Use the direct link /admin.php to switch to the default theme.

to activate the login in blocks go to administration / system/ blocks and set the login to yes (then set up right/center/left, wich pages to show it on, and cache and weight) and press submit and it should again be showing

Damn, am I too late to call you a noob? whoops, I recall doing the same things many years ago... DOH! yeh, we live and learn, but the addition of making sure login in enabled is a pearl.
Hmmm... Why do I have so many screws left over?
