I am running xhld 2.75 (at least thats the version in the xoops_version file), and it works fine on the test server, however, when i upload it to the main server it doesn't work. It takes ampersands out of links. So, for example:
This is what's in the XML:
http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/rss/mostviewed/*http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/nm/food_mcdonalds_dc

it turns into this:
http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/rss/mostviewed/*http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2u=/nm/food_mcdonalds_dc

Without the ampersand.

It seems like a really strange problem. The only server differences i can see is that the test server is running PHP 5.0.2 and the production server is running PHP 5.0.3.

I'm thinking it could possibly be a problem with the SaxParser...

Has any one else run into this issue? Is there a fix or a better news solution?*/

Try latest XHLD - 2.82... I saw something about "fix saxparser" in changelog

Sorry for double posting here, but is it a fact that no one else has the same problem?

Like synikal I cannot explain why it takes the ampersands out and I would appreciate help of you guys! Meanwhile the version of xhld installed on my productive XOOPS is 3.08 and still the ampersands aren't there.
I also tried xhld with XOOPS 2.44 on the same server and there was the exact same problem.

Does anyone have a clue what migh go wrong here or even better does anyone have a solution?

Help would be really great! Thank you!

You might try following the thread at http://xoops.peak.ne.jp/md/d3forum/index.php?topic_id=1769

It seems to be related and has to do with escaping the ampersand... When I looked at the xhld0_feed.html template it looks like it attempts to 'escape' everything except the content ($items[i].content)... although seems to me like it should be using |escape:'html'

I tried this and it didn't work for me. I personally think that this handels the actual written titles you see on the page but not the links themselves.

If anyone could help, it would be very much appreciated!
