Hi,

I'm running XOOPS 2.3.2 but I had the same problem on 2.3.1

I have some problems with the PM function. I post a new message to myself and it says "Your message has been posted" and after that I update the page. Then it says inbox (1). When I click on the inbox and the new page shows up it says "You don't have any private messages". I've also tried to post to someother member and it say the same as when I posted to myself. I have also tried to save the message in the outbox. But no message shows up there either. When I post it says "Errors, None, Go Back".

I'm using:
PM version 1
MP Manger Version 2.63

I tried to unistall MP Manger but it didn't made any difference.

Anyone know what to do?

I haven't heard of a resolution. There are a couple of reports in the SF Bug Tracker relating to 2.3.x PM.

When you uninstall MP module, it may leave entries in the priv_messages table in the database, well it did for me but I was using MP manager 2.4 I think was the version, I also deleted all the files that MP manager required that you had to either add or adjust, as I said though that was with 2.4 so I am not sure how 2.6 was configured and what you had to do.

I also deleted all existing PMs and copied a blank priv_messages table from a new 2.3.1 install and replaced the whole table. By the way I am not a database expert by any means so my terminology may not be correct, but you should get the idea ;o)

My site was upgraded from 2.0.18 though, if yours is a new install what I have said is most likely irrelevant!

My private messages work fine, fully functional.

Even on xoops.org PMs make trouble. I could not delete a single PM.

Same problems here... have to use the empty button to delete messages... hopefully it will be looked into soon.. :)

Okey. Then I know that more then me have problems with the PM module.

I'm gonna try the way DarinAllan did, if I can. :)

If this dosen't help then I will wait for a solution.

When viewing a full PM, the delete button works fine. It is when selecting them by the check box in the list that they prove so persistent.

I am more surprised than anyone that my PM's work lol

Yep I can select the checkboxes to delete them or delete them after I have "opened" them, I can delete them standing on my head if I like.

;o)
