Hey guys,
just changed the permissions in xforum 4.06 (xoops 2.3) and registered users clicking on forum see this line only.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method XoopsModule::loadLanguage() in D:\Hosting\31810...odules\xforum\include\functions.welcome.php on line 68

works fine for non reg, and admin.
any clues?

If that's all you did, you'd better change them back then! You must have accidentally taken permissions away from the registered users.

Have a good look around for multiple places to set their permissions. If you don't have one already, you should make a 'dummy' registered user account that you can check with.

that didnt fix it, i applied default permissions, changed them back and all sorts of combinations and still the same error.

it still works fine for moderators and visitors, just not logged in registered users.

In looking at the code all this does is attempt to set the users language file based on their profile although it's only partially implemented. You should be able to just comment out lines 67-69 in ./include/functions.welcome.php (by adding '//' at the beginning of the lines) without any problems. I don't think the code in this area of the file does exactly what the author intended but in any case you should be able to comment out these 3 lines without causing any real problems.
