Hi,

I'm running the latest XOOPS version (2.18.2) as an Intranet site for a franchise organisation. The site is closed so everyone has to log on before being able to see news, use the forum, etc.

The users (100+) have now requested that they have some kind of personal page on the Intranet where they can store information that is only be visible for themselves. Does anyone have any idea how to do that?

Tanks for the help,
Marieke

What kind of information?
Is it not to be shared at all?
When it is to be shared with friends, then you may take a look at Yogurt, which is targeted for a social network and in the completion fase.
Depending on the nature of the information to store, it is possible to recommend other modules.

It is indeed information not to be shared at all so I believe Yoghurt is not the module for this.

My user base consist mainly of people that lack computer skills. Besides the Intranet, there is no good way for them to share information but at the same time, they would like to be able to put some info on it (like links to other websites, addresses, etc.) that are important for them but not for others (can be about their client base for instance). As they don't have too many computer skills, they would like to be able to do everything from within the Intranet site.
Hope this makes sense

I am looking for a similar functioning module. A way to post information that is not shared (photos and text) for reference later.

Almost an expanded Account info page.

Is yogurt shared by default of protected? Is there an option to "share with friends only?

I'm noet sure what you are looking for, but if you want a module that create private space for your users you can check the ClientSpace module

Not quite sure how users add files to this module. Any docs anywhere?

[Edit: "this module" meaning clientspace.]

A system like eyeos could be interesting (http://eyeos.org/en/). Disadvantage is it is not part of xoops, but on the other hand, you can configure eyeos so users can register themselves. So you don't have to maintain the user logins yourself.
