Not to toss a wrench in the gears or this, but if its a Hack, the ones that use it will pay dearly with there site if they need to update later with a security release or a newer version.
sence this hack will be lost in the update, and it might not work with that newer version of xoops.
Will there be updated hacks to reinstall this to the already hacked site?
Will it affect any other part of the site?
If its a module.....
Will there be updates for this module when a newer version of XOOPS comes out, sence most of us know that a new XOOPS mean another module that doesnt work any more.
So that means support....
Are you willing to support this module for as long as you release it?
will it be PHP5 and SQL5 ready?
will it work on the PHP4 and SQL5 servers of today?
These are just a few of the topics we have had for the XGarage module.
Please, dont get me wrong... this is a wonderful idea, and yes this is somthing XOOPS has needed for some time.
and i would love to see this as a type of XOOPS or even a module/hack, but some standards should be set.
