Now all I get is:

PARCHE MULTIX
¡ERROR AL INGRESAR AL SITIO!
Usted ha instalado el modulo MULTIX desde un sitio no autorizado.
Por favor vuelva a su pagina de inicio y luego borre el modulo MULTIX de su sistema.

Well, I saw that module ALMOST working. I don't know what to do now.

This is still a legitimate topic for discussion: I need the same solution, but for sixteen separate sites sharing the same user authentication database. I see no reason the cookie can't be hacked to contain just the "mother" site's URL (e.g., pc-gamereview.com rather than wii.pc-gamereview.com) and that should solve the multiple login requirements.

However, judging from what I see so far, this still isn't functioning.

Is anyone actually working on this hack? Or must I seek another solution? I've grown to love Xoops, and I really don't want to give it up.

My friend Derek still believes he can create a micro-sites module. I personally believe that MultiX can work. It was very close this last time. I am not giving up yet. I think the solution is coming.

Hi, i am the "creator" of multix, the hack is finished an working... but maybe is a little dirty right now and the documentation is gone. I left the project to a parthner/friend which i have in the office, but we can make the contact. If Paulizaz an Shiva are still interested.

You can see some working success cases here:

One of the first versions:

http://bel.unq.edu.ar
http://municipios.unq.edu.ar
http://investigacion.municipios.unq.edu.ar
http://biblioteca.municipios.unq.edu.ar
http://biblioteca.municipios.unq.edu.ar

And here is implemented the last version of the hack (yes!!!, all the next sites in the same installatio, and there are more.)

http://cesar.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://alejandro.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://gustavo.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://sergio.blog.unq.edu.ar/
http://adrian.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://rblanco.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://gmartinez.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://acandal.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://fgabarron.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://graciela.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://pablo.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://mariano.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://municipios.unq.edu.ar

The last multisite version can:

- Share any table.
- Share Users Between sites
- Share Groups Between sites
- Admin wich group will appear in which site
- Share modules and admin which will be able in wich site
- Share themes and admin which will be able in wich site
- Some Editors installed and configured.
- EXM improved admin interface
- SSL security implemented.
- If you loggin in one site, you keep logged in the others (if you want).

Luck, and if you got any question, just say it!

There is another solution on the arising a much cleaner way, and possible one which I hope the core XOOPS will adapt.

Look into something called OID or OpenID.com

Some work is being done by Pemen, check out his news article @

XOOPS OpenId integration first preview

I hold much hope that this will form part of the core, also with an OID server from php, smarty and MySQL.

Fingers crossed.
