Cant do anything with xsGallery V1.2

I changed the include/settings file to add my image folder. BUT, there is no upload or anything links. What am I doing wrong?

hmmmm what did you put for your image folder? Are you using a custom template? Have you generated template files for your custom template set if you are indeed using one? Have you set permissions for Groups?

I set my images file as: /public_html/index/modules/xsgal/gallery/

I have XOOPS in a index folder. I have a custom XOOPS theme. Did nothing to templates. I set groups and can see the module link, but when I click it in either registered or webmaster mode just a page opens up with one link to the index of the module. There is no upload link or anything.

As far as I know you don't need the public_html/index part, just give the part in the root so : /modules/xsgal/gallery/ that should do it.

I noticed a bug maybe in this version, one of my pictures is not displayed. I yet don't know why.

You're right I actually have the folder at /index/modules/xsgal/gallery

I have nothing to add a folder or add a picture or delete/modify, etc.

hi.. have you completed all(preferences & others) of xsgallery thru system/module? if not try, to go system/module and hover on xsgallery and complete all what is need to be set-up.

return to xsgallery and see if the problem is fixed.

That's what is weird about it. It installs fine into Xoops, but after installing, I can't do anything with it. I can't click on the module, nothing happens. It's there but there are no preferences that open or nothing. It's almost like it's dead, but it installs and I see it there.

There's no admin section for the module at the moment. You have to setup the paths to the image folder manually (look at the install.txt). All picture you have to upload via ftp or anyhow else. All subfolders are displayed and selectable.

I've modified a version of XSGal and XPlorer module so they work together. So I can use the XPlorer module for uploads ( managing the pictures. Only for tests at the moment. If someone is interested in to merge both modules pleas send me a PM or E-Mail. Thank's and have a nice week!

I love the look of the demo - it is exactly what I am looking for. The navigation works fine for me but when I select a directory with images I don't get thumbnails.

I do not use php5 but php4 could the be the problem? BTW, I've installed Exif.

No. PHP4 is not a problem. Rather GD library (should be activated!) I guess when there are no thumbnails.
