News Posts not being displayed on front page

I just upgraded to News 1.44 and news topics aren't posting on the front page. Permissions are all correct, and the article's "Display on Front Page" is enabled.

When I switch to Topic view, it will display, but I don't like that format, and I would like it to work with the Classic setting.

Did you set news to be your start page - admin - preferences. Have you also turned on the appropriate blocks and positioned them? (admin- blocks -news- all users - set to visible yes)

Has the selected post time of the article come to pass yet?

Yes. It is the start page. All the blocks are on.

And yes, the time of the article has come to pass. It works with Topic view, but with Classic view, nothing is shown.

could it be a template problem? that the site is using the previous version's template? i remember there was some instructions in the news module if you have problems with 'by topic' or 'classic'. i dont remember what it says so.. check that out. it should be in the 'news' folder.

Still not working. There's no instructions for me to follow to fix this.

By Topic works, but still, Classic mode does not show on the front page. It's really annoying.
