Question: How Do I Edit a Template?

That is kind of a trick question because I actually know how to edit the template I want to edit. The problem is when I click on "edit template" it is not giving me the option to "save" or "go" but "view," which doesn't do much but let me "view" the change I made.

I am sure I have to change the permission somewhere to allow me to edit, so that's really the question I am asking. I have tried both through the admin module and through the actual block with no success.

Can someone help me?

Easier than that, there is a module that allows you to edit templates. You can download it at:

Still easier than that, XOOPS 2.0.14+ allows you to copy template files into a specific folder of your theme's folder, and override the templates in the database. So your customised templates can be created with any application that suits you best! See the XOOPS 2.0.14 release news for more information about the override features.

This means that theme designers can build suitable templates to go with their themes

Have you cloned your template set and selected the cloned set in your preferences?
