cbb 3.04 forums won't mark as read

I (nor any of my users) are able to mark the forums as read. When you choose the option, it appears to work, only everything remains as new topics. Any suggestions please?

I am having the same issue with CBB 3.05

If you read a post or try to mark it as read it will always stay as unread. Can anyone help.

Here is how to fix this. It is in the User Guide as phppp so kindly pointed out on xoopsforg.org

Rename plugin.dist.php to plugin.php

It is located in your newbb module directory under install.

Would you mind providing a link to the actual User Guide? I've been looking for this and can't find it. I'm sure I've probably overlooked it - but if you would post a link to the actual Guide (rather than just xoopsforge) that would be great.

To be honest I have had trouble finding it too. If I find it I will post it.

I beleave its the faq section located here

as for the "Rename plugin.dist.php to plugin.php"
its in the " include " directory

I see. So it's the FAQ section. I was confused because I kept seeing it referred to as the "User's Guide" and thought it must be a separate document included in the download file or somewhere online. I looked high and low for a "User's Guide" and couldn't find it. I was afraid to post one of my questions on xoopsforge because I still hadn't found that document and didn't want to get yelled at!
