Hi,

I did some modification my module's templates (the html) .. and then I enter the administration and did module update by clicking on the update button.

But, when I tried to access the block or the page that I made changes, it still the same with the previous one. Why it happen ?

If I change to the templates directly it will refresh the page ... but it is annoying if I did many changes in the templates.

Please tell me how to 'cheat' this situation ?

Thank you

Go to admin/system/preferences/general settings

Scroll down and find where it says Update Template/Html files, or something like that and set it to YES. Then scroll down and click on Go.

Now go back to the pages and try again. You might need to refresh the page for the blocks to take the changes.

After you make changes and before your site goes live make sure you reset the Update Template/Html back to NO.

Also, if the above doesn't seem to work for you leave it set to YES but then go to admin/system/modules and update the system module. Or ftp to your site and delete everything in the Template_c folder-EXCEPT the index.html.

Hope this helps,
Quest

Yep I did all you mention before ...
but it didnt work ...

Is it because I duplicate the templates and use the cloned templates ?

Hmmm. Could you maybe post the code and highlight the changes you made?

It might be. If you have created a new template set, you need to go to admin => system => preferences => general and set it as the default before you can use it.

Otherwise you are still using the original template set.

that's possible. I create new template that cloned from the previous one. When I click on Module Update (Admin), it might just update the default template not the other template ...

I have request for further development, it might be good if developer add new link to update the templates base on the module... :)
