Thanks, kind of frustrating that we ended up with a new mimetype for this. One work around (not a good one) is to zip the offending 2007 file before you upload it.
If you have a limited range of products, you can just use a static content module like Pico. Frankly, I think most of the ecommerce modules are overly complicated and a bit of a security hazard.
I don't think anyone that has been involved with XOOPS for long would question JAVsey's integrity. He has been a great help to many people over a long period of time. Have a look at some of his posting history.
I was able to install Pico and clicked on "generate" and Pico appears in "Main Menu", but on the admin menu all the Pico sub menus are empty except for Preferences. I don't have a clue how to use Pico.
You need to generate the templates manually after installing this module. Please see this thread for how to do.
1. cloning the XOOPS default template set. 2. Set the new copy as your current default (in system => preferences =>general) 3. Then install pico and generate the templates manually as I described earlier.
Hopefully that will get you going. If it doesn't, GIJOE recommends that you manage templates through the Altsys module instead. I've never tried it, but see Peak XOOPS site for details.
One of the tricky things about Pico is that it doesn't automatically generate templates when installed. That's why you have some stuff missing.
It is easy to fix. Go to admin => system => templates and you will see a link to 'generate' templates for the instance of Pico you have installed. Click on that and you will find all the 'missing' things work.
