Hello

This is probably a stupid question however I have searched the forums and I am unable to locate the answer.

When attempting to edit a new block, there is a button which opens the picture manager.

Obviously when I click the button a small window opens which is I assume supposed to allow me to select the picture I want to add to a block.

However I do not seem to be able to locate the folder which is suppose to house the pictures I wish to select using this method.?

Can you possibly point me in the right direction or have I got the point of this button wrong?

Many thanks for your excellent help as always.

Very best regards

I suppose you created a category in the image manager...and that category has "webmasters" permissions to upload and see the pics and that you have uploaded pictures to that category... so maybe it's a view permission problem?

There is an image manager button..you click it..a pop up opens with a dropdown menu of the categories created which clicked on shows the images in it, or to the far right which is a little tricky there is a link you sometimes forget that is there that says upload pic.

Thanks for this, it was a permissions issue which I have now resolved.

However I do seem to have an additional issue with this. Sometimes when inserting an image either using the picture manager or the insert picture method I link to the correct location of the image and it inserts the html tag for the selected picture. I select HTML at the bottom and submit. However then when you view the block it shows the html not the picture?

Obviously an odd issue.

Very best regards and thanks for the swift advice.

I have the same sort of problem but can't find the answer anywhere in the forums.

When I insert a smile or link onto the site I get the html tag not the smile or link.

However smiles to work in private messaging.

Anyone any idea's i've tried everthing I can think of short of deleting the whole site and starting again! Bit drastic but I don't know what else to do.

They were working and the ones that were working are still working, but if you go into edit them then preview with changing anything there is the link now smile.

Please help, tearing my hair out

Hi

Don't want to state the obvious but you have selected Auto Format (Smilies Enabled) as the content type of the block?

Regards

Yes Smiles are enabled.

If I go to Admin Menu, Comments,& Clcik onto a comment with a Smile.

: - D (WITHOUT SPACES)

and then click preview I get

{img src="http://www.XXXXXXX.com/uploads/smil3dbd4d4e4c4f2.gif" alt="" /}
(HAD TO CHANGE <> FOR {} TO SHOW HERE)

and no smile

However if I open a new explorer window and go to the address:

I see the smile

Any Idea's
