Hello all you wonderfull XOOPS folks!

I have a problem. I have been trying to find a free web space host that can handle xoops, I have been at it a week now and I have failed

Do any of you fine people have any suggestions as to free hosting companies who can handle xoops?

I would prefer a 200mb or better space and I would like a decent amount of Bandwidth allowance if possible...

I know the moon would be good too, but it is for a good cause! ME!

Very best regards and thanks for your help as always!

Can not install xoops to a hosting company?

Hello

I don't suppose there is an answer to this but I will ask anyway.

I am trying to install XOOPS to a hosting company.

awardspace.com

I successfully uploaded the files for XOOPS and then browse to the url:

myspace.awardspace.com

When I run the installer I get various messages like this:

"Notice: Only variables should be assigned by reference in /home/www/myspace.awardspace.com/install/class/textsanitizer.php on line 86

Notice: Only variables should be assigned by reference in /home/www/myspace.awardspace.com/install/class/textsanitizer.php on line 86

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/www/myspace.awardspace.com/install/class/textsanitizer.php:86) in /home/www/myspace.awardspace.com/install/index.php on line 101
"

I assume that this is happening because they re-direct the url?

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how this could be resolved or am I shooting in the dark!

Regards

Hi

Before we proceed a big thankyou for the help you guys give. It's always really appreciated.

Senario. I have a user who has posted information in a forum which happens to be in the wrong place.

Question: Is it possible for me to move the posts to the correct forum without me having to cut and paste each Topic one at a time?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

Don't want to state the obvious but you have selected Auto Format (Smilies Enabled) as the content type of the block?

Thanks for this, it was a permissions issue which I have now resolved.

However I do seem to have an additional issue with this. Sometimes when inserting an image either using the picture manager or the insert picture method I link to the correct location of the image and it inserts the html tag for the selected picture. I select HTML at the bottom and submit. However then when you view the block it shows the html not the picture?

Obviously an odd issue.

Very best regards and thanks for the swift advice.

Hello

This is probably a stupid question however I have searched the forums and I am unable to locate the answer.

When attempting to edit a new block, there is a button which opens the picture manager.

Obviously when I click the button a small window opens which is I assume supposed to allow me to select the picture I want to add to a block.

However I do not seem to be able to locate the folder which is suppose to house the pictures I wish to select using this method.?

Can you possibly point me in the right direction or have I got the point of this button wrong?

Many thanks for your excellent help as always.

Very best regards
