Can anyone tell me which wud be the best blog module for XOOPS version 2.0.13.1?

If you like wordpress then you could try the wordpress module for XOOPS.

Watch how you set it up - if ananoymous can see it you will be affected by spamming...noone has time for that. I think all blogs may be similar but that was my experience.

I tried wordpress it does not install. WHich version do you recommend. As for the XOOPS version, it was installed by fantastico and I do not know how to upgrade.

I did not try the module myself, but This version looks promising. Mind that for XOOPS 2.0.13.2 you will need to do something extra on install. If you have any problems with the installation I recommend you to notify the developer(s) using their development site.

Go to

system upgrade tutorial

and follow it carefully. Should be a breeze. You need to download the XOOPS 2.0.13.1 to 2.0.13.2 upgrade available on the download XOOPS now page.

Since you have used Fantastico and didn;t know this I suggest you also take some time to look through the docs thread below.
