I am having the same problem in terms of xhelp has never sent any e-mails to any users on my company intranet site.

We are using XOOPS 2.2.x final...

xHelp never sent e-mails but we need it to.

The company whos website xhelp is needed on really require e-mail Notifications.

Is the ' Event ' under Event email Notifications to work.

Any idea's anyone? I have checked all settings and everything seems fine... Also the website is able to send e-mails to users when registering so I know it's not a problem with our internal mail server.

1- do you install the last version? .78
2- do you check Notifications in admin?
3- do you check "MY profile"?
4- turn php debug on and wrote any error here.

if you set an email for each category it should work.( atleast work for me)

You say you are running XOOPS 2.2?

Please read this thread:
http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1957&forum_id=217

Mainly looking at this portion:

From admin panel:
Can you click on Modules->Extended Profiles->Fields. Once you get there, please find notify_method and click the Edit button on the right side. Once you get there, make sure that the field is Editable by all groups. Also, be sure to set the default method. And then save it.

After you have done this, please go to the Edit your profile page (http://xoops_url/edituser.php) on the front-end of xoops. Can you verify that Notification Method is not set to temporarily disabled? If it is set to temporarily disabled, please change that to email or Private message.
A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those from?
