Sorry for sounding so stupid with this, but I've just selected the Koivi editor (for the first time believe it or not!) and it works fine while writing the post, but when the thread is displayed on the site after clicking Submit, it's displayed as HTML?

How do I get what I wrote in the Koivi editor to appear as it should afterwards? Looked in the settings and can't seem to find an option (I'm sure I remember seeing oen before but can't anymore)

Using 2.0.13.2 and CBB 3.0 BTW, fresh install on a new site

Isn't there an option to allow html when you set up the forum?

Yes there is, but I thought the idea of Koivi was that the user could type what they wanted and see it as it will appear on the site without them having to manually tick the 'Allow HTML' tick box.

My new site for a bunch of 'normal' everyday people - almost all of them won't even know what HTML is let alone think that they have to enable it. I was hoping I could use Koivi so that they could write their threads like a word processor without them having to tick HTML boxes.

Is there not an option that enables html by default so that the user doesn't have to do it?

I don't know WHERE it is in the code, but I have a good guess. Normally displayTarea is used to display the entered text on the user side. Search for displayTarea in the php-file that must be responsible for displaying the posts. When you set the second parameter to 1 html always will be displayed.

Just a guess...

Beneath the textarea field you will find a button : allow html, you must click on that.

It's confusing for most users, so in my opinion there should be an option to turn this default to on, because users want koivi and they forget this often (this button)
