quick news 1.4 make pdf question

i'm just wondering if there are requirements on the server for the makepdf feature of news 1.4 module to function.

i have a site hosted on a Unix server and the pdf's are not generating.

i have other sites running on Linux servers, and it functions perfectly.

additionally to this question i also have one

somehow if i change something in makepdf conf file it won't be in the generated pdf file. i just want to change the colors, text size and maybe a logo. is this basically possible? or does anyone know where to get some faq's or manuals?

hi,
but do you see the icon to generate a pdf? if not, just update/generate the template from the module. this happend the first time to me. i couldn't see the icon (therefore no pdf's) but after updating/generating all 'news module' templates it suddenly appeared and worked but without my logo and my color (not this blue) and some other small cosmetic things.

Hi anyone:
The Make PDF function does not seem to work in IE, though it works in mozilla (I can generate them in Firefox fine But not in IE). It does not work on this site either.

Is this more a matter of IE browsing settings? Or is it a bug?

Ah a little troubleshooting:

Its an IE setting and NOT a bug. Apparently, in IE you have to make the site a "trusted Site" for it to do this function.

THE to:PDF is a Nice.
