The XLD0/headline0 module allows you to make clones. But the clones must contain the same feeds, right?

I want as many as 10 clones all containing different feeds.

How do I do this?

No... and why just not use ONE XHLD with TEN feeds?

Huh?

I want 10 clones, each with five different feeds. I want them placed at different locations on the same page.

You say the clones don't have to contain the same feeds, but I don't see how that's done.

Please explain.

1. You can clone olnly block and in cloned block select feeds to show in this block
2. Each XHLD instance is independent - which feeds you'll add, which feeds you'll see in module

No offense, but if all you're going to do is insult me, will you give someone else the chance to answer my question?

Thanks,

ric,

If you're not getting much luck here, you might like to try posting on the authors forum here

Thanks, left a message there. But I thought my question was simple enough for this forum.

Nowhere in the documentation does it tell how to create blocks with different feeds. It tells you how to name the different instances of xhld, but not how to create these different instances.

Also, searched and found nothing on this either.

TBH I'm not sure what the problem is. You can clone the module using GIJoes instructions:
Quote:
You can clone this module easily. only copy them.
And the rule of directory's name is quite simple.

This module judges its number by tale of directory's name.

modules/xhld0 - treated as No.0 module of xhld
modules/xhld1 - treated as No.1 module of xhld
modules/h2 - treated as No.2 module of xhld
modules/test0003 - treated as No.3 module of xhld

This will create separate instances on xhld meaning you can setup separate feeds for each install and then have them listed separately, either through the module page or in blocks, as each install has separate blocks. HTH

Just copy the folder xhld0 and rename it to xhld1, xhld2, xhld3, etc. Then install each one as a regular module.

Thanks, fellows, what through me off was seeing the same icon in the modules listing. I just looked closer and saw -- to my surprise -- that the second upload of xhld had a little 1 instead of a 0.

Happy Thanksgiving,
