Hi,

I've updated to XOOPS 2.2.3a over 2.2.3RC1, and now I realize that it's no longer possible to subscribe to Notifications in any module !?!

In former versions, I seem to recall a setting in General Preferences to select if it should be a Block or Inline subscription options, but his is Gone(as far as my eyes can figure out).

Any clues here, any hints, anything I can check?

PS: I could not find anything about this in the forum...

Have you updated the notifications module in your Module Admin section after you upgraded?

Hi,

Yeah, updated the System, PM & User Profiles module.
Cleared templates_c, cache etc.

And the Admin area, uses the default layout.

OK,

I now have re-uploaded the complete XOOPS 2.2.3a, run the xoopsupdate.php script, updated ALL modules and checked every setting I can find - still no Notifications in the buttom of the modul pages that should have it. (News, Forum etc)

Could someone be so kind to list the things that need to be set/checked, in order for Notification options to shown 'inline'?

Edit: For Cbb:

In Admin go to Preferences->CBB->Module prefs and set notifications in there (not in general prefs) Notifications show in the "forum page" not the actual user thread.

page stretch again, not your fault you posted code, and nobody has fixed the page stretch thing yet..I could..

If you are using a theme apart from the XOOPS default put this in your theme.html header





etc

In the XOOPS default theme you will also find some images called plus and minus gif, (for notifications), and some others for pdf links etc you will need to copy these to the theme you are using..
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results...

Thanks for the responce - although it's not helping... :-/

I've made sure the script is in the theme, the images/ folder is there, and still no go.

The various modules have notification allowed (both types), but there is simply nothing showing 'inline'.

I can get the Block to appear, but the inline functionality as not showing.. :-/

So I guess the big question here is - why does that part not show up... is it a DB setting that is wrong, is it something in the template system, or something else..
I'm using a custom template set, but have deleted and recreated the system templates that should affect this.

I'm lost, and tired.. guess I need some sleep...

I have the same problem.

In my case, it works fine in local with exactly the same version and configuration than the server.

Finaly I've found a solution!

Just take out the global definition for $xoopsTpl in the footer.php
