Hi,
I just cant get the DMS running.
I got it from here:
https://xoops.org/modules/repository

I have CHMODed everything necessary 777 and get answers like this when UPLOADING a file:
Quote:
Error: Unable to move file.
SP:/tmp/phpzLSmlf
DP:/portal/documents/1/1/1/2700001.dat

Or if I want to create a document I get this:
Quote:
Error: Failure to copy file. Either source path or destination path is not accessable.

Which source path????? When Creating a Doc, then It does not ask for source paths.

this is how my dms configuration looks like, hope it helps.

DMS Configuration

Document Repository:
Document storage path: /var/www/html/modules/dms/documents
Document Storage Tuning: 1000

storage path has to be the full path on the server.

good luck,
Ben

Daaaaag Bennie,
no, it did not help.
My documents folder is in the public_html folder.
I tried it all: public_html/documents/documents but it didnt work.
The documents folder is in the public_html folder and in that documents folder is another documents folder.

I have also played around with the TMP folder set permissions to 777, but nothing works.

I have the same problem.
Quote:
Error: Failure to copy file. Either source path or destination path is not accessable.

I use windows and give the repository path:C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\xoops\html\modules\dms\repository
and when I hit on update the screen refreshes and shows
"C:Program FilesApache GroupApache2htdocsxoopshtmlmodulesdms"
as path. Maybe thath's the reason? The path gets messed up?

Maybe it only works when the XOOPS is installed into the main directory.
Who knows.....

I have the same problem despite checking all permissions and changing the document storage tuning value to 0, as suggested in the DMS documentation

I am also running a document repository on a mambo installation on the same server and files upload no problem

Try looking in your mainfile.php for the full absolute path of your web root. public_html is not the full path.

The full path should look something like the following:

/var/www/public_html
OR
/home/user/public_html

If you are a cPanel user, the absolute path to your web root should be listed in cPanel.

Best Regards,

James

Newbie question....

I'm sorry but I'm having the same issue and drawing a blank on my physical path. I looked in actual mainfile.php as suggested to grab my path:
/usr/local/4admin/apache/vhosts/cmcda.net/httpdocs/xoops/htdocs.

Read/Write permissions are set for the repository folder to full read/write. Should I create a different folder off the root to place documents into?

Here is what my error looks like.

Error: Unable to move file.
SP:/tmp/phpQRRmGy
DP:/usr/local/4admin/apache/vhosts/cmcda.net/httpdocs/xoops/htdocs/modules/dms/repository/3/1/1/100001.dat

I also tried a virtual path but can't get it to move a file.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
