I'm not sure why, but I tried batch adding some pictures to xcGallery for the first time tonight -which went smoothly- but for some reason the thumbnails it produces look very very different than the source pictures. Is this normal or is there something I have to change/fix?

Resized Image

Also - ever since I installed xcGallery (even before I had set anything up) I've had something show up in debug. What's wrong and how do I fix it?

are you using image magik or gd2 for the image conversion?

The settings for those options in the module admin area will determin what the thumbs look like.

Don't know about the error....but do know that xcGallery generates lots of errors depending on the sensativity of error reporting in PHP (even though everything is working)

Which version of XOOPS are you using?

I had everything default. I hadn't really messed with any settings. It was set to gd v.1. I tried switching it to Image Magick and then gd v.2 but saw no difference. Do I have to re-upload the images?

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.13 and at the moment everything does seem to be working, which is why I don't understand the error.

Use the GD2 setting and you'll have to regenerate the thumbnails for them to change.

Personally I choose 100 for the jpeg quality of the thumbnails and images, although 80 will be nondiscernable in most cases.

Happy Xoopsing!

That's it!

It should the right answer to this problem!
I was also had this problem, after changing it to GD2 in the preference setting of xcGallery, it is corrected.

Besides, the reasons for the display of debug information is that XOOPS is in default being set to debug mode, just go to general preference of the administrator module, check that about in the middle of the page, there is an option to turn off the debug mode <-- do it and you'll not see the debug information.

Corrected Now??
