I've just started another site using XOOPS but it doesn't seem to display correctly in FireFox... yet I have another site that is absolutely fine!

On the problem site, the menu is only displayed in Times New Roman font and there are no images behind the menu buttons and there is no header image, only the "Xoops - Just Use It" logo and the banner.

How can Xoops/FireFox work on one site and not the other?!?!?!

You don't mention if you've tried both sites in IE? That might help you in your dioagnosis... Also, are you sure all the css files were uploaded into the correct theme directories? FWIW..
MMM...It tastes like chicken! ...

Hi

I have tried them both in Internet Explorer, and they both work perfectly there...

I'm having weird things too with firefox. In fact just a few minutes ago I made the smartfaq block "did you know" visible and firefox gave me a 500 internal error.

Freaked me out!

But on IE the site worked fine (for guests anyway).

So (in IE) I made the block non-visible and firefox works fine (for webmasters - didn't want to mess with it too much during prime viewing time).

Strange - very strange -

Strange!

But the thing is, I haven't added any modules or changed anything... simply uploaded the files, configured it and it goes wrong from then!

What I did find is that I must have maxed out the amount of block that a page can have. When I "unviewed" some the site worked fine. When I made them visable the site didn't work. So I moved some blocks to other pages.

A link to the non-working-site would be extremely helpful!

IE is more forgiving of any minor errors in the html or css than Firefox...

I have a bizzare problem too!

Updated from 2.0.9.2 through all the patches checking carefully after each update. Worked fine until the hotfix was installed.

Using Firefox 1.0.4 on SuSE linux 9.3 - just get an empty white page displayed:
<html><body></body></html>

Firefox 1.0.3 on XP displays the page fine.

I can see my site fine with Konquerer on SuSE linus 9.3 though.

It *WILL* work with Firefox 1.0.4 on SuSE IF I delete the cookie and then refresh the page.... but this is kinda frustrating after 20 pages

I've tried to reinstall but thats going to be a mission copying the data back in to the database :/

One thing I noted was that the mainfile.php files were very very different from the new install to the copies from updates done yesterday.

Can anyone help!

Hmmmm....

I just went in to admin section through konquerer and disabled the gzip compression and my site is now working again with Firefox.

Is someone able to look in to this?

Any others with a similar problem able to verify that this resolves the problem for them too?
