I have been given a small request from a 'client' (I am thinking of creating a site for a friend) and their request is as follows :

Quote:

* We need a page where presentations can be posted.

* And I am toying with the idea of a recruitment posting page.

Is there an XOOPS module that can be set-up to act as a recruitment section where employers could place adds to recruit staff? The site will be a site for a specilist community and as such private companies may want to place adds on the site.

Thanks

Ted

You might try Smart Client or Smart Partner by Marcan.

Smart Factory

JHaris - your suggestion looks good. Not sure if it quite what I want, but I can investigate further.

Basically, it is expected that a user of the site (i.e. a company) will be able to place a recruitment advert on the site saying 'Wanted - 2 guys to do X Y and Z, £100,000 a year" etc etc and I will need this to show up on the site as a scrolling block or something. Does that help?

In addition, I need a 'members database' incorporating the company name, address, and contact details of the registered user. I realise each user profile stores this info, but I need users of the site to be able to look at the entire directory of users and see these details with a click of the button. So a module that basically says 'Here you go Mr X - here are all the registered users of the site and all of the contact details." Is there a module for that? I don't want to have to use a static html page. I want it to be a searchable part of the site that only registered users have access to so these details must be imported into the site.

With reference to my requirement to have a module to list members details, I notice there are several 'Address' modules listed in the module repo here. Would one or all of them do what I need above?

(Still need some ideas for the job advertisements though - nothing springing out at me)
