i tried today to install the last version of XOOPS gallery
BUT SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED AND LOOKS QUITE DIFFICULT TO RESOLVE...


Does anybody now an easy way to resolve this...

or maybe you could tell me where to find a good version of the 4IMAGES module.

I´m making a world photo club which is called photologging.com and I would like to have a section with all the photographers and a few images of them..

Any Idea???



THIS IS WHAT I GOT WHEN I TRIED TO INSTALL (after changing chmod permissions) the IMAGES GALLERY

You told the config wizard that your ImageMagick binaries live here

/usr/X11R6/bin
If that is not right (or if it is blank), re-run the configuration wizard and enter a location for ImageMagick.

Note: Your ImageMagick directory () is not in your open_basedir list (specified in php.ini)

So we can't perform all of our basic checks on the files to make sure that they exist and they're executable.

read the read me file.....you have to download imagemagik and I forget the other program (sourceforge)....was to complicated for me, but thats where I found all the information about setting it up.

Hope this might help alittle.

may be a newer version of 4images module could work as an artist gallery.


At the moment i´m using MYALBUM MODULE to display the photos as in a typical photolog.

But I need a module to show the artists and their work, because this is quite important to create a photoclub (in my opinion)


Do you know which modules we can use for creating photo communities with XOOPS???

from where can be downloaded the module 4images for xoops?!

u could try netpbm instead of imagemagik.. i think but don't quote me imagemagik has to be installed server side by the root user.. netpbm can be done by downloading the already compiled binaries from sourceforge and placing them in a folder.. but i don't think imagemagik can be..

i think also 4images can use GD2 but it's been years since i used it..

I also have a question concerning this topic.

I also tried Imige galery to no effect.

I.m looking for something simpel, that displays 1 or perhaps 2 thumbs in the richt blocks ( top & bottom )

When clicked the uploaded pictures show, but when return to previous page is cliked you don't end up in a picture album, but the main page.

Anny advise?
