Hi all, is it possible to display the "last 10 posts" as apposed to "10 most recent topics"??

I have a client who specifically needs the "last 10 posts" and i'm thinking it would be arranged similar to news articles on the news module index page.

I was thinking of creating a single page module called "Last 10" or something like that and then have a single block on this page with just the last 10 forum posts aranged like in news.

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance,
Marty.

Well, i dont think you need to create a new module for this. I would just add a page to the NewBB module called like last10.php or something.

Thanks hyperpod.......is there an easy way to do this or are there code snippets that are available that I could use or maybe I could modify the "Recent Topics" code to do what I want?? I am fairly new to PHP and don't expect anything handed to me on a plater but a point in the right direction would be great.

Cheers,
Marty.

Yeah, editing the Recent Topics block would be a good place to start.

It might be as simple as modifying the SQL query.

Hi phppp, thankyou for your reply as I "really need this" but your links are to permission only pages and I have no link to register with to see those pages.

I hope you will see this post as I would love to see those web pages you linked to.

Regards,
Marty.

YES!!

phppp, the block and page is exactly what I was looking for. I am however having a hard time reading your site as most characters are squares.....even after I clicked the english language button top left of your site so I can't understand the discussion.

Marty.
