I would like to change the color of the sub-tabs in the bevel skin -- where would I go to do this?

Thanks.

If I am correct:
Block 'recent news' which is the same to make use of the spotlight block of this module.
If you activate spotlight you can chose if you want to make use of the tabs and which tabs lay-out. And here you also can set your tab colors preferences .....

The standard template for recent news block (template/news_block_new.html) load also some images in a style bock, at the start of template during definition of css style.

You can change the images used for background or modify the images.

I tried changing the colors here but when I entered my values the result was that the tabs were blank. What?

I couldn't find the news_block_new.html folder in the templates folder to even try this approach.

I figured it out. I was only putting in the numeric value. When I added # sign before it everything was fine.

One more question though -- I see how to change the color of the subtabs, but how can I change the text color of those tabs?

The XOOPS FAQ has a section on themes and templates. The FAQ is always a good place to search for answers. Near the bottom of the FAQ on themes and templates is the following bit of info that might be useful:

Quote:
Templates can be edited through the template manager in your system admin menu. Clone the default template set, and edit the cloned set to fit the look and feel of your site's taste. The tempates can be edited per module.

Based on Hervet's response, I'd say you need to clone your templates, make your changes, then point your website at the new templates using the Admin menu under preferences.

Once you have cloned them, if you add/update any module that uses templates you will have to ensure that you have a correct template in your cloned templates. This is the only real gotcha to this. I'm warning you now so you remember later.
