Problems With New Signups...

I put my site online Friday and I've had (so far) 2 people say they couldn't register. I end up having to register them manually and then when they go in to change anything in their profile, this is what they end up sending me via comment:

'Thanks, I'm able to log in now. But for some reason
it doesn't want to save changes to my profile. When
I submit the page, I get a page that says:

Errors

None

But when I go look at my profile, none of the changes
I put in are there.'

Any ideas why it would do this? They've tried Mozilla and IE 6.

Thanks! :)

I'm wondering if it might be firewall-related. Some firewalls can play havoc with things like logging in, admin functions, forum posting and other things. Have a look at this link and see if it may help. Cheers!

I have exactly the same problem here (http://www.wargaming.sk)
the problem was reported by one user who works in a bank, so it's quite possible that reason for this is caused by some restrictive policies on his proxy.

but anyhow, he is able to log in (after i filled the registration form for him) but when hi posts, he gets errors: none page.

he must be able to use HTML-POST variable, because he can log in. he also use some other portal and forum systems...

another error he reported is this one - when trying to vote on a link:

WARGAMING.sk Error

Error Code: 0013

ERROR: Could not query the database.
Error:

Can anyone help me to solve this proble? please....

9 times out of 10, when a user cannot post or edit content (basically, change or add data in the database) it is caused by a blocked HTTP Referer by the user's firewall or similar privacy blockers.

You may also find This FAQ helpful. It tells you how to customise the register page so as to put a help link for users who have problems registering.

Hope this helps

Hi

I tryed both sites with ie 6 and the registration screen would not accept my keyboard input. With firefox the keyboard entry echo back correctly.

Not sure...could this be a theme (template) issue?
