Need a goodhost.

I need a very good host with good support, i don't have unlimited funds but it should be enough to have a decent host. Preferable i need to find one in belgium, but uk, the netherlands or france is also no problem.

I did some research but don't know what to choose. There are some many host (most of them i the US)

so far i found this in belgium

i would go for the advanced package

Yes, can well recommend surpasshosting. Very attractive packages for the money. Good support and pretty releiable servers.

They also have many xoopsers, so their forums are a useful place to ask cross platform questions.

They seem to be located in the US, what about loading times as most of my visitors will be located in europe. I want one as fast as possible :)

i'm in the uk myself and used 1&1

and to be honest about it, when i visited XOOPS sites hosted in usa & australia they were a lot faster than my uk host and it was a noticeable difference.. but there are many factors involving speed.. but surpass are very good and offer a lot more than most others i've seen..

Well, I decided to give PerfectSQL a try, even though they had problems with their order page when I first checked it.

So far everything has been wonderful, just got my site transferred over this past weekend. With the web and sql servers being separate does make a difference. About a one second difference to my old host, their cpu was always loaded.

Reliability, time will tell. But I do have some notes now to add to the faq for site migration. It was easy really.
