Is it possible to modify the language structure to fit 'Qt Linguist' for XOOPS3 ??

I just found this from ez.no.

When developing the module for translation, I found many problems about the definition for the original way. Many of module developers tried to add more PHP syntax in language files. This made the jobs for automation harder and harder.

Is there any similar solution in XOOPS3 ??

xoops 2.1 aint even released yet and XOOPS 3 is probably gonna be end of next year or even 2006. thats really thinking ahead..

basically it's just a translator for languages.. bit like systran if i'm right in my way of thinking..

'Qt Linguist' is a good tool for translation made by trolltech.

You could easily find the information from google.

I could, yes, but I am not the one trying to "sell" the idea.

Basically, if you cannot be hedgehogged to explain a little about the idea and why you think it would be a good idea to use it - and possibly how it fits into the current XOOPS - then I cannot be hedgehogged to research it.

OK.

It's great for 'Qt Linguist' that it could be used in cross platform and released under BSD license ( http://www.trolltech.com/newsroom/announcements/00000037.html ). It could generate the language definition in XML format and 'ez publish' had include this solution for i18n.

For me - gettext() and po-files is more power, easy, wide and elegant solution.
It simplified translation process and eliminates damned "translations update" hell after releasing new version of module with changes in text-constants
