Eh? You mean there's a setting to 'remember me' on autologin?

Well, no idea how my friend manages to stay logged in, but fact is he does.

perhaps mozilla is not destroying session cookies when the browser is closed, but keeping them until the cookie's stated expiration date. However, I cannot duplicate this on either Mozilla Suite (latest version) or Firefox.

ipporek? you're using ipboard if i remember.. if u can't see the remember me tick box in the login block, then you need to clear templates_c and also update system module.. which will regenerate the login block template..

you'll only see the remember me function on sites that have ipboard installed or phpbb or those XOOPS sites that have installed GIJoes autologin hack..

this site however doesn't, so you won't find the remember me on here..

hope that clears something up :)

I have tried the hack XOOPS hack to give me a "remember me" button at the log on. Even this does not work. Is there a way in XOOPS to make the session time 1 year? so people do not get logged out unless they want to? Thanks

it works for me, are you sure u applied the hack correctly? and updated the login block template?

but anyway in answer to your 2nd question, goto XOOPS admin > system ? preferences enable custom session
set custom session time to the time you want..

Yup, using IPB. Have installed the X-IPB Module v1.4F.
So you're saying that if I clear templates_c and also update system module, I'll have the remember me function and not have to install any hack?
