This afternoon, I was just looking through xoops.org and suddenly I wanted to see my site. So, I typed my url and saw this following statistics and I was stunned about 5 sec. How could it be? I haven't even announced yet to not more than 10 ppl. How could I get 30 visitors? Was it a bug?

The Who's Online block uses a garbagecollector routine to clean up the starts (read: clean up those that left). This means there's a 10% chance this happens on every time the block is loaded and displayed. So some people have left, others have joined, the number increases. Use the 'More...' link to clean it manually and see who is browsing your site.

Umm...But, when I pressed "more", there ain't no button to clear it up except showing a bunch of IP addresses with the name of "Anonymous". It makes me very frustrating. More help would be very appreciated.

Regards,

there isn't a 'cleanup button', I think clicking the 'more' link forces the garbagecollector to throw out the trash, so to speak. Not completely sure tho.

But it's not a bug, it's a way to reduce the number of queries to make your site faster.

Okie..Anyway, I did a couple of times as u said...Now, everything's working fine. First attempt was failed honestly. I was so fed up and kept on pressing "more". Finally, it got back to normal.

Thanx for your help.

You can always set the cache on the who's online block at 30 seconds that makes it work better on my site
