I've been searching the whole evening, can't find any infos or may be overlooked...
I just need an information of how to add font which isn't unicode in the editor to display on my content page but, .ttf as my native country language doesn't have unicode supported fonts. I need simple tutorials or hacks on WYSIWYG editors which integrated into XOOPS 2.0.10. I'm just thinking of using one of the editors, FCKeditor, HTMLArea, Koivi. But, what I learnt from koivi dev site is they don't continue the project and it's obviously stacked on the latest ver. released last year. So, it meant Koivi is perfect version and no need for future development which I heavily doubt so???This is the only issue I don't like Koivi for future.
And, I would like to know if there is any ways to translate XOOPS into lanaguage which is not supported by windows nor mac as defaults. My native country is Myanmar and they don't have a font supported by any OS like hebrew, france and sort of. So, last time, if I wanna write sth in Myanmar language, I use the fonts most people use and just plainly use
<font face=WinKalaw>

And, if end-users have font, it will appear correctly...If not, they are forced to install new font which I uploaded to my site and let 'em d/l... So, that's y I can get navigation bar and all in Myanmar language.

But, in xoops, I'd like to create multi-language site mainly english, myanmar... What would you suggest????

Please I need help from lots of ppl and really appreciate if u can find your time to solve my issue.

Thanks,
daniel(if you need more infos, let me know)

I don't think mod/hacks creators would like to come out with the hack which VERY VERY minority of users demand(Right now, only 1, you.)
But, it's not the end of story as you can still get your own customised hack for your need. But, on this planet, nothing comes for FOC. Touch you pocket and your need will be met. There are lots of talented mod/hack creators in this forum. Who can say? You might end-up with generous XOOPS expert who wanna help you out for free.

Cheers,
PT

I'm so sorry. I'm not sure about this matter. I believe since it's in "to-do" list, it's necessary to follow every single instruction. So, I would recommend to ask the author of this hack for alternative issue for WinNT server.

Cheers..

I believe Spotlight module will meet your needs. However, the new version of news module has its spotlight integrated. So, it's your choice to pick what's the best for ya.
For spotlight, www.wf-projects.com

For new news module,
dev.xoops.org

NOTE: I haven't tried news1.3 yet. I knew spotlight integrated from somewhere around this forum.

Cheers...

I'm not too sure what you asked for. Are you referring to short-urls? If so, you may wanna take a look at following site's download section which provide short-url hack.
Reynaldo's ShortURLs - Updated

I used "Module IRC 2.0" submitted by goghs(I'm not sure whether it's his own or not.). Anyway, it's cool!
Don't worry I will send email to remind him!
Thanks!

Thanks again, rowdie!
First of all, I didn't need to create irconfig.php file cuz after changing permissions for cache folder to writeable, that file was automatically created. So, now, I changed the cache folder's permission back to 755 and so far it's still working. Ya know what? After changing configuration and reload the page, it doesn't show errors anymore. What a fantastic help you support though you know nothing about this module.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that.

P.S/ The information provided in readme text file is not enough for newbie like me. But, it's great module tho.

####Installation instructions####
- Unpack ircmod repertory.
- Edit file "background.gif"
- Upload ircmod repertory on your server into the modules rep
- Activate module into your XOOPS administration, and define your own settings. Don't forget to check group permissions!
- Have fun!

I don't know the module, but at a guess I'd say you either need to set write permissions for the /ircmod/cache folder, or your server doesn't allow the fopen() function.

Check the folder permissions first, hopefully that will fix it...

Rowd

Thank you so much! After I changed permission for /ircmod/cache folder to writeable, it works. But, after I submit changes, it's still showing the same error message which is
Warning [PHP]: main(/home/traffic/public_html/modules/ircmod/cache/irconfig.php): failed to open streamNo such file or directory in file modules/ircmod/admin/index.php line 7
Warning

But, I could connect to network without any problem.

Thank you so much indeed.

Sorry. I'm with another problem again! I did whatever I could and I searched for similar problem threads as much as I could. But, couldn't find any. That's why. I come back again!Okie, I'll go straight to the point.

I tried to install ircmod at my site and it went well and not even single hitch at all. But, When I started changing configuration and error occurs. I turned on PHPDebug and it shows that.
Warning [PHP]: main(/home/traffic/public_html/modules/ircmod/cache/irconfig.php): failed to open streamNo such file or directory in file modules/ircmod/admin/index.php line 7
Warning

Warning
[PHP]: main(): Failed opening '/home/traffic/public_html/modules/ircmod/cache/irconfig.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php'in file modules/ircmod/admin/index.php line 7

According to the message, I looked at modules/ircmod/admin/index.php line 7
It shows that
include(XOOPS_ROOT_PATH."/modules/".$xoopsModule->dirname()."/cache/irconfig.php");
And, I looked at ircmod/cache folder but, I saw none except index.html . I couldn't locate cache.irconfig.php. Is that file supposed to be not included or any place I could get it from?

I appreciate all of you guys to answer whenever I need help.

Thank you all for your support,
PT

I've had the same problem a few months ago: it's due to a buggy Firefox extension that breaks its behavior, but I can't remember precisely which one it was (it might be the TabBrowsing extension).
After checking your site: I guess I'm right, coz my own firefox (1.0.1) is correctly redirected. So, if it doesn't work with yours, then it's because of your browser, not of your server.

Thanks skalpa.. I really appreciate it. Ya know what? It's so weird. Today, I turned on my computer and all my browser stop working. Can't surf net then, I reset every configurations to original and all are back working and, firefox redirected my site but, it takes about 2 secs tho. Anyway, I'm happy with result and thank you all for your support. Now, I can continue playing the rest of module.
