Has anybody tried godaddy.com?

I'd like to hear opinions about them.

I use godaddy.com for domain registration and management, and so far I'm satisfied with their service. I'm not hosting with them tho.

I also use godaddy for the domain part. I'm very happy with their service. The managment part of their site (where you configure your domains) is easy to use and very flexible.

Same here. I'm very happy with godaddy for domain registration, but host my sites elsewhere.

I also use godaddy.com as a domain registrar.

I'm mostly satisfied with them, but they have a tendency toward unethical business practices. I purchased their private registration service, and immediately afterwards changed the ownership on a domain. This had the effect of cancelling the private registration service, and I had to repurchase it, so in effect I paid 2x the fee for a single service. I exchanged several emails with them, but they refused to refund the extra fee.

Yeah, it's the best domain service! I pay about $8.95 USD yearly. The webhosting part it's ok but there's some others cheaper and bigger one.

Could you recommend some of them?

I have never tried http://www.godaddy.com but I use http://www.planetdomain.com and have done for about 4 years without a single problem.....(over 100 domain names through my account)....very good service. I supose when you find something good you stick with it.

Godaddy is very reliable and has quick domain propagation processes. I moved registrars and was up and running in about 24 hours. A week later I removed the old NS lookups and had no show of the change on my site. No one knew the wiser.

I also did the same with my webhost. Moved without a hitch. I'm currently using Surpass Hosting and have gotten many people to move their hosting solutions to them. Excellent help desk ressponse time, although I have had issues with them before. Good hosting solution though. Fast and reliable.

I've been using godaddy for a while. They're pretty cheap for registration, and the hosting isn't bad. One problem I've *just* run into though: I can't use the net2ftp XOOPS module with them b/c they run their PHP in safe mode (or that was their 1/10th of a second explanation, anyhow...) So I'm looking for another solution. Any recommendations are welcome.
