Hello, everyone

The name is .: dAWiLbY :. and i will try to start[up] the Xoopspoll module. I already started working on the admin did but as always, i need input, questions or 'needed features' to really get it going and make it a better module.

Please let me know what the:
- known bugs are.
[i will correct them ASAP]
- new features should be.
[i will produce a todo list]
- anything related to a pollsmodule
[do we need new graphics, different styles for displaying the results, do we need more blocks, ect, ect...]

For more news goto the projectpage of Xoopspoll:

I'd like to see
1. The graphic displayed in the block if the user already submitted an answer. There is no point in letting the user try to vote again only to see "You have already voted!"

2. The description if the user clicks on results.
2a. Let the user see the description in a hover box when mousing over the title, similar to vBulletin 3.
2b. Let the user click on the title to see a new page with title, choices, and description.

I"m not sure if I missed something in my searches, but a way for multiple users behend a network to vote on polls is high on my list of 'would like to see'.

If theres a hack for this already, I would interested in knowing where to find it.

some nice new features could be:
- picture support in a poll
> the question can then contain a picture
- setting a default daily poll
> so a poll will be automaticaly restarted every day

Hi Dawilby

There's a guide to the Polls module available in the documentation site now...if you make any changes or improvements to the module in future releases can you please write 'em down for us so we can keep it up to date !

Thanks

Hi Madfish,

Of cource i will update the documentation as needed. The docs can be altered liki wiki, or will this be a job for a docs.writer?

In the past few weeks i did not have the time to work on de Xoopspoll mod. but a beta release is coming soon!

I am trying to create a multiple-question poll / survey.
The current module does not appear to support this,
and I haven't found anything that does.
Seems surprising, . . . or I am searching up the wrong engine ;~)

I could see how adding a field/column to the data structure - Sequence - could bind multiple poll questions together and provide presentation order.

Templates could be adjusted to sort/loop around the poll/sequence values.
