Maybe you missing the date function. It is possible to use a date and put down 01-01-2015

In that way your poll will not expire before that date. I know that this is a little workaround but it will do tha trick.

The permission system is not implemented in the Xoopspoll mod. but i did provide a method to make a poll for users only.

But your suggestion of the permissions is welcome and will be a todo.

therm:

Open your Windows Explorer and find 'mainfile.php' Then rightclick and call the 'properties' and goto tab 'security' You will find a '|USR_*' user with permissions. Just give the |USR_* 'write' permissions and your set.

chmod() is a great command but only used on a linux/unix platform

I took a look and see this:
The requested URL /xoop/install/index.php was not found on this server.

Did you upload the mainfile.php? If this is not your intention then replace 'mainfile.php' with the one from your 'backup' if you have that and follow the instructions you find below.

Hey tray5753:

You obviously using IIS so maybe you have some problems with your permissions. Did you give write permissions to the cache, template_c and upload folders?

Please inspect your mainfile.php because this file should also have write permissions when installing Xoops.

Quote:
I hava another problem, in another host i have installed XOOPS without no problems, but after some time the System module link has vanished, but i can access it by using the path name. the installed modules that i have are Forum, Tutorials and (System).

Did you already try to access the groups and different XOOPS permissions and update them, even if your not changed anything. This will rewrite the adminmenu [/cache/adminmenu.php].

EnVKcom:

Maybe this link will assist in designing a better [read: xhtml & Css compliant] template. Based on css gives you a 3 colom/header/footer template and its very fast.

http://www.pixy.cz/blogg/clanky/css-3col-layout/

Then the next step would be to make modules and block tableless...

Vince:

Go to admin and modules and change the 'order' field of your modules.

In that way you can change the order in which there displayed in your main menu.

Succes!

[edit]Nevermind the answer, i didn't read to well either...[/edit]
