shoutbox comes on top page only and not on others :(

hi,

I have installed shoutbox 0.91, it works fine, only problem that i am facing is that the shoutbox is seen only in the top page for the registered users and not in the rest of the pages like forum, polls etc.

In block settings also i dont see the name of shoutbox on any page other than "top page". Can some one tell me how to fix this so that i shoutbox module can be seen on multiple pages.

Check the 'Groups' settings in System Admin and find the name of your module, and tick it for the groups of users who you want to have access to it. You have to tell XOOPS which groups of users can access certain blocks in the Blocks area, as well as telling the Groups section which users can access it.

That may help you a bit.

Shoutbox is enabled for registered users,thats why on loging in the registred user sees the shoutbox on homepage "Top page" but there after if he visits forums or poll etc he is not able to see this.

I tried looking to the block admin section for forum page and poll etc, it dones have the option of "shoutbox" to select from the list, unlike "top page" list.

Thus wondering how to get it there

thanks for your effort, i am still waiting for get some expert opinion in this matter.... hopefully someone would be able to resort it.

go to "Administration Menu" -> "System" -> "Blocks", click on "Edit" for the Shoutbox block and change the "Visible In" Setting to control on which module pages the block will be displayed.
