2.0.6RC to 2.0.6 Question

Why wasn't the 2.0.6RC to 2.0.6 included in the upgrade section? There seem to be a lot of upgrades that appear to be missing. Ideally, the XOOPS team needs to have a Configuration Control Board who decides which versions that will no longer be supported (I use that term loosly because of the nature of the project). I, myself, have sites that are still running 2.0.3. My clients aren't complaining, but one day they might. I should have a method of upgrading them from 2.0.3 to the current version in a single script. Plus CVS is capable of pulling the files you need to do this with every upgrade. So it really isn't a big deal, it just needs to be done.

My 2 cents,

HisKid

Ok, I can't find anything on the site about the LANMod LAN Party module. I downloaded this jewel about 6 months ago. I just got around to installing it (long story). Anyway, it seems nice enough but it does not save anything that I type in. No errors (that I can see) either...

Should I upload the module so someone can take a shot at fixing it?

Thanks,

Yeah, I already knew that. I just realized that it was my sub-menus. They are not intented. This causes the ordering to get a bit messy in my theme. Thanks for the response.

I was doing some work to my website when I noticed something peculiar. The main menu items change depending on where I am on the site. Is this by design?

By definition a 'Main Menu' should be a static list of links, each pointing to its respective section on the site. It should only change when the adminitstrator enables and disables sections of the site.

Would someone please clarify this for me so I can explain it to my users?

TIA,

HisKid

You can send me the Word file. In the Documentation Team we'll add the content to the XOOPS Installation Guide, in process, and I'll also add it to the wiki.

Thanks.

Thanks, I will email it to you tonight as soon as I get home from work.

Ok, How do I add it to Wiki? They are in Word format, and I don't see how to check out the Wiki files...

Thanks,

I installed, configured, and rolled out my website using XOOPS 2.0.3. When I upgraded to 2.0.5, I lost everything!! 2.0.5 wouldn't even display a blank page. I don't know exactly what happened, but I could not get even 1 page to load. Resoring the mainfile.php didn't help. So I had to restore the site using a site backup I made of 2.0.3. It is running on an Apache/Linux machine that I do not have control over.

So my question is this; What will I gain by upgrading to 2.0.5.1? Since I know that 2.0.5 is going to blow up my website, will 2.0.5.1 fix it again? I am wondering if it is really worth the effort. I am looking for feedback.

Thx,

HisKid
