Hi,
I've got a strange problem with the shoutbox module: everything works fine except that nothing appears in the box!
The same appears whether I use the database option or the CSV option. As far as I can see, the shout.csv file has not been created.
Anybody with a good idea to continue troubleshooting?
Configuration;
Xoops 2.0.18
MySQL 5.0.22
php 5.1.6

Solved!
I've downloaded a sendmail clone for Windows (look there :http://www.glob.com.au/sendmail/)
Then I changed the path to sendmail in the mail setup to : /sendmail/sendmail.exe.
If it can help someone someday...

I'm building my web site with mwa_lotr theme as a base. Unfortunately, there is a little bug in it:
When a user logs in, instead of a visible message:"Thank you for logging in, user. If the page does not automatically reload, please click here"
I only see "here", the rest is white text on white background.
Does anybody know where I can change the background colour to black?

I confirm what MrDummy says.
The upgrade from 2.0.16 to 2.0.17 with the full package is much like the upgrade from the older versions.
I did the same error the first time with the same result. The readme file should be a bit clarified, don't forget that english is not the whole world's mother tongue, so misunderstanding can be possible...
Positive point; when you follow the procedure correctly, it's quite straightforward

I'm installing a small web site in my home. As port 80 is blocked by my provider, I use another one.
Everything works fine except that when I try to register a new user, everything seems OK, the "registration sent" message appears but the mail is not sent.
The user ID is created in the DB and if I activate it I can send him an E-mail by the mail user admin menu. IMHO, it means that SMTP is correctly configured, so why can't XOOPS send the registration mail?
FYI, the debug mode does not show any error message...

I'm using my spare hours to play a bit with xoops.
I have a clean install of the server, I added wf-download module without noticeable error but I cannot add a category.
The message I receive is :
