I switched to the Koivi editor and it provides a text area (teaser) and an extend area. Works great and very simple to install. Basically, unzip the xk_editor package and copy the wysiwyg folder to the XOOPS class folder in your main XOOPS directory.

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.16 with AMS and when I submit a new article, there is no Enable XOOPS Code in the XOOPS default editor. Any ideas on how to enable it?

Thanks

When I edit an article and move the [extend] to where I want it, then select one of the revision buttons and post the new revision, the [extend] tag is visible in the article. Here's an example:

Suggestions? Is there a preference that needs to be change for it to recognize the [extend] tag?

AMS article content teaser length?

I was wondering if it is possible that on the AMS main article page, that a teaser length could be added to the article listing similar to Spotlight's teaser. I would like the user to select Read More to see the complete article. This would promote the use of comments and rating of articles.

Here's my website with the full length content which I would like to shorten to one teaser line of content per article list:

I've tried to burrow my way through the AMS Spotlight files to see how its done but it's way beyond my programming capabilities.

TIA

Early in the installation of PHP, I made the naive assumption that users would not be uploading files. I didn't realize that webmasters are users of PHP and would need to upload images (files) - Duh!

In php.ini, there is a setting which should be set to "file_uploads = On"

Next problem was trying to find php.ini. Depending on your installation, it could be in /etc/apache (slackware default) or /usr/local/php/lib (if you installed php from source).

As webadmin, when I try to upload a new Avatar from my PC to my XOOPS site using image manager, I receive the error "File Not Found". I imagine that it is a permission problem but everything works until I try to upload it. I've checked every menu and all the permissions seem to be okay. Ideas? I have a basic install (latest version last week) andthe AMS module loaded. Everything else appears to be working fine.
